HEART OF A GREAT TEACHER

WHAT LIES IN THE HEART OF A GREAT TEACHER? KINDNESS A great teacher shows kindness to students, colleagues, parents and those around her/him. My favorite saying is “kindness makes the world go around”. It truly changes the environment in the classroom and school. Being a kind teacher helps students feel welcomed, cared for and loved. COMPASSION Teaching is a very humanistic profession, and compassion is the utmost feeling of understanding, and showing others you are concerned about them. A compassionate teacher models that characteristic to the students with her/his actions, and as a result students will be more open to understanding the world around them. A teacher m ust take outside factors into con side ration , for example , if a student has just lost his/her loved one, the teacher should be sensitive to that and adjust accordingly . EMPATHY Empathy is such an important trait to have and to try to develop in ourselves and our students. Being able to put yourself...

HERO

My Teacher, My Hero A hero is often imagined as someone with extraordinary powers, wearing a cape, or saving the day in a dramatic fashion. However, not all heroes fight in battlefields or appear in movies. Some work quietly, shaping lives and building futures without expecting fame or applause. My hero is my teacher — the one who has left a lasting imprint on my heart and mind. A Guiding Light From my first day in the classroom, I could sense that my teacher was different. This combination made the classroom a place of curiosity rather than fear, where we were eager to learn, ask questions, and express our ideas freely. Passion for Teaching My teacher’s dedication goes beyond delivering lessons. They make every topic come alive — whether it is a complex sub...

SUCCESS OBSTACLES

OVERCOMING OBSTACLES TO SUCCESS The way to success is upward on the hill-top and not downwards. Climbing is difficult and tasking but it is the success way. On this way are sure obstacles you will meet. Some of the obstacles are right within you, others around while some are across the way. Looking up at success on the hill-top, your first obstacle is the thought within you – can I ever get there? Won’t I fall if I try to climb up there? This wrong mental attitude at looking at certain subjects, topics and assignments mad a lot of students to have failed. Remove the fear of failure. No student is a failure until he lies down never to try gain. Rough surfaces, stones and pebbles abound on the hill top way of success. Yet you need to realize if the way up the hill were smooth, it will be slippery to climb. Suppose everyone who passed through secondary school and university has just been given certificate without studying, doing assignments and facing examinations. There would h...
